In the effort to remain green on campus, JHU master’s students will be wearing environmentally conscious GreenWeaver®regalia, which is made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic bottles. An average of 25 plastic bottles are used to manufacture one master’s cap and gown set. This line of graduation wear – GreenWeaver®– is made of fabric spun from the molten plastic pellets helping to mitigate the effect of millions of plastic bottles going to the U.S. landfills every day.
